LevelBeacon guide

FAQ & troubleshooting

Find the cause before changing your chart. Start with the matching checklist, then use the short answers below.

I cannot add LevelBeacon

Check activation and the exact TradingView account first. A TradingView plan does not include access to a separately granted invite-only script. Follow the installation checklist.

The state says LEARNING

Use standard time-based candles and load available history. The v2.5.0 source requires 1,000 completed internal historical examples before production eligibility; this is not a promise that exactly 1,000 visible candles will be enough. Strength can appear before alerts and setups become eligible. If history is limited, contact support with the feed and timeframe.

An alert or marker is missing

Opportunity is alert-only, while a Setup can create a marker. Check which condition you selected, whether the alert is active and its interval/expiration. Follow the alert checklist; do not assume a visible percentage proves the full condition passed.

Labels, history or trend dots are missing

Check the indicator’s visibility, chart type and Inputs. Previous levels set to Off hides historical lines; Lines omits frozen readings; the reading count is separate. Marker and trend-table visibility have their own controls. Zooming the price scale or changing label offset can improve readability.

My chart differs from another screenshot

Compare the exact symbol/provider, chart interval and type, script version, inputs, loaded history and bar timestamp. Use completed bars. Feed revisions and requested-timeframe synchronization can also affect a comparison; a difference alone does not identify a bug.

Quick answers

Why did I get an Opportunity but no BULL/BEAR marker?

Because Opportunity is a broader attention condition. The strict setup filters did not all pass, or a fresh/cooldown/quality condition prevented a new marker.

Why did the Opportunity alert fire only once?

It is false-to-true transition based. It will not repeat every candle while the same condition remains true.

Why did my active blue level change?

LevelBeacon deliberately allows a better structural reference to replace the current one when stability/relevance rules justify it. A change is not automatically an error or exit.

Why did Bull/Bear Strength change while BULL ACTIVE stayed on?

Strength updates live; ACTIVE is a latched setup state that can persist for up to eight bars unless the level changes or the setup is invalidated.

Why are my dots not changing as fast as the lower timeframe candles?

Higher-timeframe values use completed higher-timeframe context between boundaries. That behavior reduces unfinished-HTF repaint/reload differences.

Why is a dot grey?

The fast and slow trend averages are equal, or data is unavailable. Grey is not a dedicated sideways-market state.

Why do my Strength numbers sometimes stay the same?

Readings update on confirmed chart closes, and similar conditions can round to the same displayed value. Higher-timeframe inputs also wait for confirmed context.

Why does another trader have a different level?

Check symbol provider/feed, timeframe, chart type and loaded history first. Different source candles and volume can create different structural candidates.

Why do I see fewer Setup markers than expected?

Strict Setups are intentionally selective and use timeframe-aware filters and cooldowns. More signals are not automatically better signals.

Does TradingView Replay always reproduce movement smoothly?

A pause or jump alone does not identify the cause. Compare the same feed, timeframe, settings and completed bar after reloading; capture the exact difference before asking support. Replay motion is not evidence that live alerts were delivered.

Can I hide markers and still use alerts?

The marker visibility setting controls chart display. Named alert conditions are separate. Always verify your TradingView alert is still created and enabled after changing chart settings.

What if I still do not understand a chart?

Send support one screenshot that clearly shows the symbol/feed, timeframe, blue level, Strength and MTF dashboard, then ask one specific question. That is much easier to diagnose than sending only a cropped percentage.

Send a useful support request

Include the symbol and provider, timeframe, indicator version, relevant inputs, bar date/time and timezone, and the expected versus observed behavior. For alert issues, include the selected condition, interval and alert-log time. Share a clear chart screenshot and redact unrelated account details.
