Most settings change presentation, not the core engine
The commercial settings are intentionally focused on readability and history. Changing colors, line widths, how many old levels are visible or whether markers are shown does not improve the underlying calculations. Start with the defaults and change only what makes the chart easier to read.
Appearance settings
| Setting | Default | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Previous levels | Full | Off hides archived levels; Lines shows historical lines only; Full also allows frozen Bull/Bear readings. |
| Previous levels to show | 20 | Choose 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 archived level segments. Display history only. |
| Previous Bull/Bear readings | Last 3 | Off, Last 3, Last 5, Last 10 or Last 20 frozen readings. Independent from line count. |
| Historical level color | Purple | Changes the archived level/readout color only. |
| Historical line thickness | 2 | Visual width of archived lines. |
| Current label offset | 8 | Moves the current labels horizontally for readability. |
| Bull / Bear / Active / Neutral colors | Brand defaults | Visual colors only; direction logic is unchanged. |
| Active level thickness | 3 | Visual width of the blue active level. |
| Percentage text size | Normal | Normal or Large Bull/Bear reading text. |
| Bull/Bear reading style | Boxed | Boxed for contrast over candles or Text Only for a minimalist chart. |
| Bull/Bear box transparency | 15 | Lower value makes the reading boxes more solid. |
| Hover details | Off | Off, Compact or Detailed tooltips. Useful for learning; optional for daily use. |
Signals & Trend settings
| Setting | Default | Important behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Show BULL / BEAR setup markers | On | Controls marker visibility. Turning markers off does not rewrite historical logic and does not turn the underlying alert conditions into a different strategy. |
| Signal marker style | Boxed | Boxed or Text Only. Presentation only. |
| Previous signal markers to show | 20 | Choose 10, 20, 40 or 80 displayed past markers. This changes display history only, not signal generation. |
| Show trend dots | On | Shows/hides the 1m/5m/15m/1H/4H/1D dashboard. Hiding it does not remove trend calculations from the engine. |
Recommended settings for most users
- Keep Previous levels = Full while learning so you can see structural history.
- Keep 20 previous levels; increase only if you genuinely use more historical context.
- Keep Last 3 frozen readings to avoid visual clutter.
- Keep Boxed Bull/Bear readings and setup markers if your candles make text hard to see.
- Keep the trend table visible until checking relevant MTF context becomes automatic.
- Use Hover Details temporarily if you are learning, then turn them off if they distract you.
If a trader changes history counts, colors or marker visibility and then believes “accuracy improved,” that is a testing mistake. These controls are primarily visual. Judge the engine from the same underlying signals, not from how clean the chart looks.
A simple readability check
- If labels overlap candles, try Large text, a more solid Boxed background or a different Current label offset.
- If the chart is crowded, reduce previous readings or use Lines for previous levels.
- If markers or trend dots are missing, check their visibility controls before assuming the calculation stopped.
- The public Inputs do not expose Opportunity thresholds, setup filters or cooldown tuning. Appearance settings do not adjust those rules.
After changing the indicator version, symbol, timeframe or inputs used by an alert, recreate that alert if you want it to use the new configuration. See saved alert settings.
