LevelBeacon guide

Getting started with LevelBeacon

Set up LevelBeacon correctly before judging its levels, Strength readings or alerts. This guide covers installation, chart type, timeframes, data feeds and the first on-chart checklist.

What LevelBeacon is designed to do

LevelBeacon is a TradingView decision-support indicator. Its job is to organize several pieces of chart context around one active structural reference: the blue level, Bull/Bear Strength, the six-timeframe trend table and two separate alert layers. It does not place trades, choose your position size, set a guaranteed stop or target, or turn every green/red reading into an entry.

The simplest way to understand the product is Level → Strength → Trend → Confirmation. The rest of this Learning Center expands those four steps.

Important

A BULL or BEAR marker is one output of the system, not the entire system. A trader who ignores location and context will use LevelBeacon very differently from the way it was designed.

Add LevelBeacon to TradingView

LevelBeacon is distributed as an invite-only TradingView script. After access is activated for your exact TradingView username, open TradingView and add the script from the Invite-only Scripts area.

  1. Sign in to the TradingView account whose username you supplied for activation.
  2. Open a standard price chart.
  3. Open Indicators.
  4. Choose Invite-only or search your Invite-only Scripts list.
  5. Select LevelBeacon — Key Levels & Bull/Bear Strength.
This screenshot shows the LevelBeacon publication page, not the Indicators library. Author-only controls such as Manage access are not part of a customer’s installation steps. After access is granted, use Indicators → Invite-only scripts on your own chart.

Use a standard time-based chart

LevelBeacon is designed for standard time-based candles or bars. Tick charts and synthetic/non-standard chart types are not supported by the production script. Keep the chart conventional while learning: normal candlesticks, no additional indicator clutter and enough history loaded for LevelBeacon to establish its internal context.

Recommended starting timeframes

For most users learning the product, start with 5-minute or 15-minute charts. They give enough structure to read the blue level and timeframe context without the speed and noise of a 1-minute chart. The 1-minute workflow is available, but it is faster, more selective and easier to misuse if you react to every small move.

Understand the data feed before comparing screenshots

The same symbol can have different candles on different TradingView data feeds. Gold from FOREXCOM, TVC or another broker feed can differ slightly in OHLC data and volume. Those differences can affect pivots, the selected structural level, relative volume and the timing of a marker or alert.

If two traders are comparing LevelBeacon, compare the same symbol, the same provider/feed and the same timeframe. A mismatch does not automatically mean one chart is wrong.

What happens when the indicator first loads

LevelBeacon needs enough completed history to build its context. On a chart with insufficient history, the user-facing state can show LEARNING while it builds enough history for Opportunity and Setup eligibility. This is not a trading signal and usually is not an installation error. Load normal chart history and allow the script to calculate.

Your first five-minute checklist

1

Find the blue level

Identify the current structural reference and whether price is treating it as support or resistance.

2

Read Bull vs Bear

Use the percentages as directional pressure, never as a probability that a trade will win.

3

Check relevant MTF

Do not demand all six dots agree. Learn which three timeframes are relevant to your chart.

4

Notice the state

WATCHING, BULL ACTIVE and BEAR ACTIVE have specific meanings explained in the States guide.

Do not start by changing settings

The commercial defaults are intentional. Learn the behavior first. Appearance and history controls are useful later, but changing visual settings will not create a better trading edge.

If you cannot find the indicator

  1. Confirm that support has activated access, and check the exact TradingView username you supplied.
  2. Sign in to that account and reopen the Indicators menu. The Invite-only scripts tab appears after an author grants access.
  3. Add LevelBeacon once. If it is already on the chart, check its visibility before adding a duplicate.
  4. If access is still missing, send support your username and activation reference. Never send a password.

A TradingView subscription alone does not grant access to LevelBeacon. See TradingView’s invite-only access guidance.

Make your first session an observation session

Keep the defaults, use standard candles on a 5m or 15m chart, and follow a few completed candles without placing a trade. Locate the active level, percentages, trend dots and state label. Then follow the five-step workflow. No particular timeframe makes a trade safe.

Still unsure about your chart?

Use the Learn Center first, then send support a screenshot with the symbol, timeframe and exact question. Never send your TradingView password.
